Aidan was born at only 25 weeks with total body cerebral palsy and developmental delays. Aidan’s father is a Long Beach Police officer who was shot in the line of duty in 2006. That year Aidan was hospitalized as well for aspiration pneumonia. Aidan’s doctor believed an adaptive bike would improve Aidan’s range of motion as well as provide much needed physical fitness and social development. The family was busy trying to pay off medical bills, so Variety of Southern California stepped in to purchase an adaptive bike for Aidan.
