Special Programs: Pat Notaro Day At The Beach / Surfers Healing

Variety – The Children’s Charity of Southern California (Tent 25) co-hosts a wonderful family event at Surfrider Beach in Malibu to honor the memory of one of our industry friends, Pat Notaro, formerly of Sony Pictures. Pat Notaro Day At The Beach / Surfers Healing is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a unique therapeutic experience for children facing autism. Surfing is used as a tool to enable autistic children to gain self confidence skills and to promote the therapeutic benefits of the sport’s positive effects on the vestibular system. Mr. Notaro was a avid surfer, and in his memory the Notaro Family has directed a portion of the Pat Notaro Memorial Funds to Surfers Healing.

The 2009 Pat Notaro Day At The Beach / Surfers Healing event took place on Saturday, June 6th at the Surfrider Beach in Malibu.
